  • How do I prepare my vehicle?

    Please have a minimal amount of fuel in your tank. A quarter tank or less is sufficient. You must remove any loose parts. For example, shells or bed liners that are not bolted down may blow off. Phone, radio, and CB antennas that do not retract, MUST be removed, or they may get broken. If you are shipping your vehicle to Alaska, or Hawaii, you will be charged an additional de-gassing fee if your vehicle has more than a quarter tank of gas.

  • What is the process of shipping my vehicle?

    First, obtain a quote online or call us at 818-666-5566. After receiving your quote, complete and submit an order form by e-mail or fax. Once all the paperwork is submitted, your vehicle will be scheduled for transport according to the shipment dates you provide. Once a truck has been assigned to ship your vehicle, you will be contacted by the driver or the office to schedule a pickup date and time. The driver will contact you again 12-24 hours prior to the scheduled pickup time. When the driver arrives to pick up your vehicle, he will perform a detailed vehicle inspection on a Bill of Lading. The driver and the person releasing the vehicle will both sign this Bill of Lading, and a copy will be left at the vehicle point of origin. The same Bill of Lading will be present upon the vehicle delivery and a re-inspection will be done prior to releasing the vehicle. Both the driver and the person receiving the vehicle will sign this Bill of Lading, and a copy will be left at the destination point.

  • What does Door-to-Door Delivery mean?

    Door to door delivery means that the car carrier will get as close to your place of residence as physically possible without compromising your vehicle or the cargo on the trailer. Many cities and towns have restrictions on large trucks and prohibit them from entering residential areas. Car carriers are also fairly large and long (75 to 80 ft long) and need ample room to maneuver. If access to your residence is restricted by low bridges, narrow streets, tight turns, wires, branches/overhanging trees, or other reasons, then the driver will contact you to meet in a mutually agreed upon place such as a shopping center or large parking lot to deliver your vehicle.

  • What kind of truck will my car be transported on?

    It will be dependent upon the service you have requested. Open car carriers are two leveled and can carry between 8 and 10 vehicles; you may have seen these trucks at dealerships delivering new vehicles. Enclosed carriers are covered and range in size and capacity. Enclosed carriers are recommended for custom, exotic, classics or high end vehicles, since such carriers will prevent vehicle exposure to inclement weather and road conditions.

  • Will my car remain on the same Carrier?

    Yes, your vehicle will remain on the same carrier. In the event of mechanical problems or other unforeseen problems, your vehicle will be moved onto another truck to resume delivery.

  • How long will it take to deliver my vehicle?

    Transit times vary depending on where you are shipping your vehicle. For example, coast to coast shipments take an average of 7-14 days for delivery from the pick up date (this does not apply to special arrangements). Shorter trips may take between 3 and 10 days. Please keep in mind that factors such as traffic, weather and truck breakdowns may delay a trip.

  • When should I book my shipment/order?

    We recommend that you book your order at least 1 to 3 weeks prior to the desired pick-up dates.

  • When will my vehicle be picked up?

    We would like to have a 3-day window to pick up your vehicle. Should you need your vehicle picked up the same day, or on a specific date, because you are leaving town and cannot wait for the driver, we will do our best to accommodate you. We can pick up your vehicle on a flatbed and transport it to a terminal. You can also drop off your vehicle at a terminal until the ship date, at which time a Carrier will pick up your vehicle. There will be an additional charge for this service.

  • Can I ship personal items with my vehicle?

    No. We strongly discourage you from placing personal items in your vehicle. Although some companies inform you that you could leave upwards of 100 lbs in personal items in your vehicle, it is actually against the law. Auto carriers are forbidden from transporting personal items. The auto transporter is subject to an inspection by the DOT and can be fined up to $10,000 if found transporting vehicles containing personal items.

  • What forms of payment do you accept and how do I pay?

    You can pay your deposit by Visa, MasterCard, Discover, cashier’s check or money order. The remainder balance must be paid by cash, cashier’s check or money order ONLY. If you’d like to pay the full amount, you may do cashier’s check or money order when you place your order.

  • How do I verify if you’re licensed and bonded?

    We maintain a surety bond with the federal government pursuant to 49 U.S.C. §13906(b) and are registered as a broker with the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration under registration number MC #625043.   • Is my Vehicle insured?

    Your vehicle(s) will be insured against in-transit damage caused by carrier negligence or equipment failure by the auto shipping or car transport truck that we assign. These auto shipping and car transport trucks, by law, carry a minimum of $750,000 in public liability insurance.

  • Why should I use a broker?

    A common questions is “Can’t I arrange transport directly with an auto shipping or car transport trucking company directly?”. There is usually no difference between the rates quoted by a Broker and those of a carrier. Most carriers travel very specific routes and may not be able to accommodate your pickup point, destination, or schedule. Many people aren’t aware that if the carrier they choose is unable to service their requirements, that carrier may broker the transportation to a different transport company anyway. As a Bonded Broker, we deal with a large network of auto shipping and car transport companies who service many different routes. We deal only with reputable carriers who are properly licensed and insured, and we act as the liaison between the carrier and you, the customer.
